It'll fit any Magnum engine, but the Jegs ad is correct. That manifold is an EGR model. Later units eliminated the EGR.

You can use the EGR or non-EGR M1 on an '00.

Nothing if your truck is a 96 up as Dodge engineers figured out a way to build the engine without a egr and still meet polution requirements. and yes you are a retard as the first guy to answer this post already told you the answer and you asked it again in a different form aas if you did not believe him. Dam for a guy with a name like you know something about what goes on under the hood you sure are dense.

i think what "oh my god" meant was, since you dont have an EGR, the one without an EGR will work perfectly..

And if you want to use the one with EGR, all you do is block off the EGR on the manifold.

Isn't there a moderator to remove guys posting like that?

The EGR is also more expensive but can be used if you need an extra port for vacuum. Otherwise stay with the non EGR for the 2000

Oh My God,
Who ever you are, try to use proper grammar before you call someone a "retard". You obviously are "TOO STUPID" to even figure out what a "RETARD" everyone thinks you are.

I guess I should've addressed needing to block off the EGR, but figured it was enogh to just answer the basic question and let it go. I've been accused of "droning" on a topic, so when possible I try to keep it short....too short this time.

Question: what is the difference between a single plane and dual plane (i am assuming the one for our trucks is a dual)

Single-plane (also called 360 degree)refers to the single level for all runners in the intake. The runners tend to be shorter in length. This makes them better for upper rpm power. MP typically rates the single plane M1's at 2600-6000rpm power range. The dual planes are for a lower rpm power band, though they do overlap. Dual planes (180 degree)have two levels and the plenum has a divider running down the middle, as opposed to the single planes are wide open. The 2 levels of the dual plane each feed half the engine. A single plane allows all 8 cylinders to draw from a single source. The dual planes work from idle to around 5500. That's not to say the engine will quit at 5500rpm, but peak power will be at or below that number. Dual planes tend to make more low rpm torque, have better vacuum, and typically, have somewhat better mileage numbers. You usually match the cam and intake. There are many variations. For example: The stock Magnum intake is a single plane intake, but it is tuned to make power in a way that is much more like a dual plane.

Niro Junkie.....

If you looking for the M1 go to www.thefastman.com . Give Dan Arcand a call and he'll set you up. He is a great guy and will make sure everything is what you need. Plus the install kit he sells is by far the best I have seen. Nice turck by the way 00 BW RC's are by far the best R/T's...lol.....and there fairly rare too. If you need more R/Tspecific info check out the dakota R/T group at www.delphiforums.com
