Is it a stick or a switch? On the switch it's located right next to the 4x4 text by the knob itself. If it's a stick I don't know. I know that on the old Chevy sticks there was no indicator light, you just had to know from where you put the stick! So dunno boss..

what are you asking? If you want to know where the light is, its in the bottom of the instument panel in the neighborhood of the check engine light. If it fails to illuminate, understand it is not a bulb, but an LED so the problem is likely on the switch at the 2WD/4WD shift lever

I looked in the manual and it does not show a light on the dash where the other warning lights are. The manual states that there is a light on the lever benzel. I cannont find a light or where there would be a light any where around the lever. I just dont know.

The 4x4 seems to be working as I could not get up my icy driveway until pulled the lever to 4hi.
