Subject: Overheat IP: Logged
Message: went wheelin on saturday, truck was fine, been driving it since.
Monday temp was overheating at stop...Not radiator cap.
Any ideas?

Fluid levels good.
Engine compartment clean.
No Drips.
Oil Good.
Tranny fluid good.
Radiator fluid good.

Message: Engine overheating at stop sounds like it could be a fan problem.
If you have an electric fan, maybe you did something that knocked it out. Check the wires and see if all are connected ok. Drive around and when it overheats jump out and open the hood and see if the fan is turning.
If you have a mechanical fan with temp clutch, when it gets hot pull over, turn off engine and pop hood. Try to give fan a spin. If fan spins freely your fan clutch may be bad.
It could be also you simply have some type of blockage in your radiator or cooling channel, or your water pump is going south. Of course it could also be your thermostat has just died in the closed position.

Message: a water pump with a worn impeller or a sticking partialy closed thermo stat are also symtomatic.
