 Subject: Oil Leak

I need some help i jus replaced my intake manifold gasket b/c it was leaking but now it seems that the base of my distributer could be leaking is this normal. Could i put a little bit of RTV around the edge of it to stop the leak. It makes jus a film after driving about 50-60 miles HELP!!!
