 Subject: ball joint removal

I thought I once read there was an easier way to remove the ball joints then by just grinding off the rivets and hitting them with a pickle fork? Anybody know? I just ordered all four moog joints for $175, '99 2wd 318.

I think some with air tools used a chisel on an impact gun to pop the rivet heads off and push the remaining part of the rivet down through the control arm. Sounded like it was a lot quicker...
