i'll see if i can find anything in my data tonight. it may be in the shop manual. if not i may still have one of the "brochures" with the sales paperwork. i believe the data was listed in it.

"Tow weight allowance is a guide based on an unloaded truck w/ standard equipment. Higher trailer weight allowances are availabe with certain power train and axle ratio combinations. Weight allowance must always be reduced by the weight of optional equipment, trailer hitch, passengers (other than driver) and cargo in truck. Max tongue weight depends on the tow weight allowance and the payload. Load equalizing hitches are recommended for trailers over 2000 lb.
