 Subject: Flag in bed of truck

How would i go about mounting a 3x5 ft flag in the bed of my truck up towards the cab window or at the tail of the bed. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Go to a marine store and get a flag socket. Either top mount or flush mount, you'll probably want it angled. Port supply sells them 3/4", 1", or 1 1/4" ID. You might want to drill a hole for a set screw too. (portsupply.com) they list for $16 and they are stainless steel.
Let me guess, is this for a rebel flag?

You could jsut get a piece of PVC or anykind of pipe and put it against the bed and use a couple of U-bolts or clamps to hold the pipe against the bed. Put the flag in the pipe and watch it wave.

Once you get it mounted, be sure to keep the flag in good shape. Driving at 70 mph can really tear apart a flag.
It kind of bothers me to see people 'showing their support' by flying a ripped up flag on their truck/car/motorcycle/etc. The symbol of a shredded USA flag is not my idea of 'support'.
And show your support by checking out the various people running, and vote intelligently. I.e., don’t vote as a knee-jerk liberal/conservative/loony.

W. wishes he was half the president that Bill Clinton was. Someone needs to stop our jobs from going to Mexico and other third world $h!tH0le$ ASAP. Bush is more liberal on spending than any Democrat ever dreamed of being, except the dumb@$$ can't figure out how to pay for it all. Maybe get a flag mural for the rear window. This will remain looking good for years.
