Subject: slipping trans.?!?
IP: Logged

Message:
Once again it is cold here in the midwest and my trans. is slipping again. When it is warm outside my trans. shifts great. But when it gets cold outside it slips. When you take off it is just fine. But when I try to merge onto the highway sometimes it just revs and does not go anywhere. I have to back off the gas and coast for just a second, then hit the gas again. This fixes it most of the time. But then at other times after cruising on the highway for about 1 hour, and it shifting perfectly, and then stopping at a light it will slip again. When it does this I can put it in neutral and rev it, put it back into gear and it will shift perfectly again. I am at a loss. when the weather warms up again it will shift fine again. Yes the trans. fluid level has been checked and is ok. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Nathaniel
