we bought a used '01 dakota cab plus and dont know if any of the recalls on it have been fixed. I heard that you can call the local dealership and they can make a check of the recalls performed on your vehicle. If this is true, can they still fix the recalls on my dakota even though it's out of warranty, it's got about 35K. Thanks for the help.

I am not sure, but a recall is a recall, warranty or not. but if you only have 35k on it then you should not be out of warranty. The normal warranty should go to 36k, so if you have any problems you should get it in quick. And i do not know about the recall history, but would make sense that they would ave that information.

THE DEALERS PUT A STICKER UNDER THE HOOD SAYING THAT THE VEHICLE HAS TOOK PART IN THE RECALL...
I THINK THERE IS ONLY 1 OR 2 FOR 01 CC ONE OF THEM IS SOMETHING ABOUT CHILD SEATS IN THE REAR AND THE OTHER IS 4X4 RELATED

Have your dealer run the vin and if there are any oustanding recalls, They have to fix it. I once brought a car in 7 years after the original recall and they fixed it for me.
