Message: If you have keyless entry and lock the doors remotely the light will turn off immediately. I am not aware of a timer nor the ability to turn it off..

Message: You would have to run your own wires around the
present system. Not the easiest job in the world
but if you really want them to go off as soon as
you close the door, you can do it.
Good luck..

Message: Lock your doors via the auto lock switch on the door BEFORE you shut your door, the lights will then dim immediately after you shut your door.

Message: I also have a Viper system but no keyless entry. The system has a delayed chirp when the dome light is on but it bypasses that so the system works properly. Contact your install guy and let him know about your problem
