Subject: Chrysler problems....

I hear on the news every now and then about Chrysler being in financial woes and recording losses every quarter. Well, as I drive down the road, I see more and more Rams, Dakota's, PT Cruisers, and whatever else they make all over the place. Seems like 1 out of ever 3 vehicles is a Dodge, doesnt it?

Anyways, I posed this question about "what could be their problem" to a good friend of mine. He works for the federal government, and he told me that in Mexico, there are 23,000 Dodge Rams, of the 2000 models, just sitting down there, unsold. They say its like a big ocean of trucks. He said their problem comes from forecasting, in which they sold a lot of vehicles, but they made too many, overproduced, and that has hurt them greatly.

Apparently there have been people who have been down there in Mexico and made offers to buy some vehicles, but Dodge keeps saying "No". They were reasonable offers, too. So I dont know any more than that about these unsold trucks.

Anyways, thought I'd share that....
