Subject: Heater Problem IP: Logged
Message: Hi, I have reviewed a bunch of posts about heater problems but didn't see an answer to mine. I have a '99 5.2L 5 speed 4x4 Club Cab and you can hear the heater motor blowing, but no heat comes out of the vents no matter which setting you pick - though you can get an occasional blast for a second or two, if I let up on the gas when going fast. Thanks for any advice,

Message: I would check www.nhtsa.gov and see if there isn't a TSB for reprogrammimg the heater control. I think I saw one for that. Check to see if the doors are moving in the heater when different settings are selected. Perhaps the door actuating motors are gone. First ensure all fuses are good and connectors leading to the heater controls and motors.

Message: My heat just went out a couple of weeks ago. Kinda sounds like the same problem you had. Had to replace the water pump. Is working fine now.
