My '03 QC has around 25000km (18000 miles?). Had it for over a year now. Everything good, except now I'm starting to get a couple different rattles and noises from the dash area when i hit a bump, or on rougher roads. Anyone experiencing anything similar? Is this something Chrysler should fix under warranty? Nothing I hate more than mysterious noises in interior.

I have an 03 also and it started the exact same thing at 25,000 miles. Quinn Dodge Service said-
"All vehicles make noises and different rattles and especially when it is cold." Ok,I live in Tulsa! As though that has anything to do with it!
The rattles have been isolated to the drivers side of the dash. To stop the irriting noise you must press down on the dash-on the top right side of the curve of the dash. I am trying to find out if it is covered under warrenty. Does anyone have information that could help? Thanks Rattled

Ok... here's the deal. I don't know if your dealerships don't care about you being a customer, but all you need to do is take it in and tell them straight up, "Look. It's under warantee (if it still is) and it's rattling. I would really appreciate you stopping the rattle for me free of charge since I *did* buy this car brand new and paid more money than I should have for this truck. If you don't fix it, you can consider me a not satisfied customer and also consider me a customer that will not be coming back other than for my oil change (if you take your truck in for that)." Usually when faced with a customer that threatens never to come back a dealership will see it your way and decide that maybe it WOULD be best to fix it... just to make you happy. Personally I have a very very bad rattle in my dash somewhere on the passenger side. Unfortunately since I'm the only one that usually drives the truck, I can't really do anything about it at the moment but I'm sure I can get my dad to look at it later... most of the time if you know what it is if you put a buffer between the cracks (ie a piece of paper folded many times) it stops the sound... that's what we did in the '01 Concord we have and since then it's rode solid as a rock and quiet as a kitten.

Mine was doing the same thing... turns out it was the stereo vibrating against the plastic. I used some clean shop towels as insulation above and below it,and the noise is gone.

So you're worried about dash noises?

Man... you are fortunate!

Mine won't start until after a long cranking, most likely a bad injector or fuel pump, shocks were bad at 25,000 miles, right front wheel bearing failed at 30,000, manual transmission failed at 50,000, battery at two years and 60,000, and now they're telling me I had better take a look at the ball joints!

If all you're worried about is a small dash rattle... consider yourself lucky!'

Mine did it to I took it to the dealer, and told them what it was and they fixed it. I have a 01 dakota and it was the very front piece of plastic by the windshield rubbing on the windshield. I dont recall them telling what they did.

We had a real cold snap here a couple weeks ago and I did notice a NEW noise in the dash. Seemed to go away when it warmed up though. The other noises from the dash arent always there either, so it would be just my luck when I take it in they'll say they cant see anything. I'm going to give it a shot though, see what they can do.
