Do the newer dakota (98 and up)wheels fit the older dakotas. I like the split 5 spoke that comes on the darangos and dakotas. I believe they are 15X7 were as I have 15X6 rims. If they do fit do you know if they will stick out of the fender, I dont like that look and rather find rims and tires that are completly under the truck. I have the same questions about the 17's that the rt's run.

I have those 15X6 rims. I'm a little disappointed with the fact that you can't get tires wider than 235's. I'd also be curious if newer dak rims fit. I'd assume so but not sure.

I have been told that they will fit, but the hubs will stick out the middle. The center caps will not fit. I'm not sure how correct this is though.

All rims from 92-current will fit. All rims use the 6 lug on 4 1/2 bolt pattern. I have seen several Gen II Daks with the new rims and vice versa. as far as if they stick out, they shouldn't a whole lot, check the backspacing to be sure. A 255 will fit on the 15x6 but i don't recommend it. They bulge out and wear in the center.

Mark the rims on my y2k dak are 15x7 not 15x6 unless you have the styled steel rims i dont know what size they are.Do you know largest tire you can put on 15x7 rim?They came with 235XL.

I have wheels from a '98 Durango (Aluminum split 5-spoke) on my '95 Dak 4x4 cuz I was not happy w/the stock 15x6s. I'm pretty sure my '98 wheels meas. 15x8.5 (yeah that sounds wide, but I think that is correct.) I run 31x10.5x15's on them (no lift and no rubbing!) @ 38psi in front and about 33psi out back, treadwear is even and ride is much better. I can post a pic sometime if you'd like to see. One note, though, the front brakes are different on gen 2 daks than '97 -up (some of them?) I had to grind a corner off the hex bolt on each front caliper (only short about .050" of clearance). They were rubbing the inside of the rims in front. They don't stick out much further either, barely enough to notice.

Have a '95 4X4 Dak which began life with a set of 15X6 wheels. In 1998, bought a set of 15X8 '97 wheels and ran 31X10.50X15 on them for four years. Had to grind about 1/4 inch from one of the front caliper bolt on each side and trim the air dam by 1/2 inch. Recently bought four chrome 17X9 R/T wheels and put 275X60X17 tires on them. The tires project out from the fender by about 1.5 inches but do not rub anywhere and work fine.

i have a 1992 dakota single cab regular bed and it has a 3.9 v6 is there a supercharger for this motor and also is there any heads that are made for the 3.9 6cylinder

It all depends...
- depends on the backspacing of the 15x8s
- depends on if you want to put them on a 2wd or 4wd
- depends on how large a tire you plan to mount
- depends how wide a tire you plan to mount

92 to 96 with 2wd can not fit stock 15x8 newer dakota wheels the back of rim will hit upper control arm

i have the gen2 16" rims on my 94 4x4. with the 265/70 rubber
they rubbed on front periodically. now have 245/75 wit no issues...
