Message: Finally got fed up with all the clunking and squeking from the suspension, took the dak in while still under warranty. Sure enough, they had to order new control arms, hope they replace the bushings also. This sucks, took in my vehicle on thurs they said they have to wait for some parts, might not be ready till Monday. Sure glad my year and a half old dak already needs an enitre suspension overhaul, actually I've needed this work since not long after i got the truck just been too lazy. Dodge really needs to use some more quality parts, sh*t no wonder the toy's cost a little more, you actually get some peace of mind with them. This blows, i know theyre are repalcing these faulty parts with the same damn faulty parts, is this going to become like an annual overhaul? I like my dak otherwise but probably is my last mopar product.

Message: Ball joints aren't really hard to do with a little mechanical aptitude and the service manual. If (or when) mine go bad, I'll just replace them with the Moog greasable type and be done with it. If this ever becomes an out of warranty repair, you can also get the control arm bushings without having to buy the whole control arm. FYI, a grinder or Dremel works real well for getting the rivets out of the control arm.

Message: The bushings on an 02 are not servicable. They are part of the control arm as is the ball joint. It's better to service (replace) the whole arm because the bushings wear fast too.

Message: What is it w/ DC? Do they not care bout customer loyalty? Seriously though, I brought my truck in last thurs due to popping noise and squeky bushings, told me they ordered the new control arms that night, it is now Monday and claim the parts still havent come in. This is ridiculous. For starters these parts should not be failing so ridiculousy earlier on my $26,000 truck. Secondly, cause they did fail they should replace em in a hurry not drag their feet. Screw DC, I'm never buying one of their money pits again.

Message: Or you can go the route I went and change all your bushings out to Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings. I'm doing all of mine as soon as they get here. Now I wont have to worry about them for a long while.

Message: DrewzR/T,
I am curriouse how much that set you back.
I have Hotchkis sway bars front and back and they didn't even come with poly.
I was a little disapointed having to use the OEM rubber bushing for the front swaybar.
Keep us posted on the performance as well.

Message: Front sway kit was 25 shipped as well as the rear kit. Upper and lower arms came to about 75.
I'll post back on this thread when it gets done.

Message: Finally got the truck back today, forgot what a well functioning suspension felt like. Feels much better now, the work order says they replaced the upper control arms and hub. It may be just me but I think it rides slightly higher then it used to now. Anyways, I'm pissed this was such a hassle but as much as I'm upset I really do love my dak, it's just like a girlfriend, either I'm all into it or its pissing me off.
