Message: in the manual it tells you how to get hte beep back. I was trying to disable my autolock feature and did the same thing.
i can't recall the exact procedure tho.
could be turn the key on/off 5 times the press&hold the panic button and press the Lock button on the FOB. something like that
if you don't have the manual, i can get the exact info out of mine if you need it
keep us posted

Message: WHOA!!
Can you tell me step by step EXACTLY how you go rid of your autolock feature?!?!
I have a 2001 QC slt and when i follow the manual's directions, i can't get rid of the autolock.
very frustrating.

Message: to disable the auto lock feature do as follows.
1. Get in close doors and put on the seat belt.
2. Turn key to on (not start)
3. Press and hold the Lock button on the fob for at least 4 seconds, then at the same time press the panic button.
4. If you hear one chime (you did it correct)release both buttons. And that should do it.
Good Luck

Message: Sorry,
My last post is not for the auto lock disable, it is for the horn beep.
the auto lock disable is as follows.
put on the seatbelt,
put the key in in the off position and click it over one click to on and back in forth for a total of 4 times ending on off,
then press the auto lock door button. A sound will chime when done correctly.
