Subject: CD problem IP: Logged
Message: I just bought an '03 Dakota a couple months ago, and there is something bothering me about the factory CD player.
When you turn it off, it remembers where you are (2 minutes into Track 5 for example). That's great - but it doesn't reset that memory when you change CD's, so whenever I put in a new CD it goes to the point in the CD where I stopped listening to the previous one.
Is that just how the CD player works on this vehicle, or is there something wrong with mine? It's something I can put up with, but it is annoying and if it's a defect then I want to get it replaced.

Message: your fingers are too fat. they push all the other buttons at the same time which causes the malfunction.

Message: No doubt about it! The truck thinks it is smarter that you are.
That being said, mine doesn't do that. You might want to think
ab out replacing your CD player.
