I just bought an '03 Dakota a couple months ago, and there is something bothering me about the factory CD player.

When you turn it off, it remembers where you are (2 minutes into Track 5 for example). That's great - but it doesn't reset that memory when you change CD's, so whenever I put in a new CD it goes to the point in the CD where I stopped listening to the previous one.

Is that just how the CD player works on this vehicle, or is there something wrong with mine? It's something I can put up with, but it is annoying and if it's a defect then I want to get it replaced.

your fingers are too fat. they push all the other buttons at the same time which causes the malfunction.

No doubt about it! The truck thinks it is smarter that you are.
That being said, mine doesn't do that. You might want to think
ab out replacing your CD player.
