Message: I was wondering i just bought a Mtx 6000 10 inch sub to put in my truck and i was wondering what would be the right size amp to go with that and how much of pain that would be to put in an install it myself.
I also have a alpine changer and deck that was installed already

Message: You want a minimum of 120 RMS (RMS, NOT PEAK!) and preferrably in the 160-200 range, again RMS!! Peak power ratings are a joke, RMS is the stat they can't lie about and is a true measurement of an amps power output. I'd tell you to watch out for THD and like like as well but with a sub it's not nearly as important...
