 Subject: Diamondplate tailgate protector

Hi - I've had no luck in finding a one piece diamond plate tailgate protector for my 99 Dak. What gives? Companies cheaped out and realized they could make em in two pieces and fit more trucks with less parts or something? I got one in the mail from Putco and it's a POS that doesn't cover well at all. It looks like it was made to cover a Ranger or other smaller tailgate and not a Dakota's. I called BetterBuilt and theirs is 2 piece as well. HELP! Is there a nice one piece to be bought for our trucks?
