Subject: Truck won't start IP: Logged
Message: Well it's been sitting since Chirstmas Eve. And it has been cold last day or so, cold enough to snow.
I wanted to start it up today to let it run for a bit but it won't start. When I turn the key over I get a ver loud and very rapid clicking noise.
If I just turn the ACC on then the needles start bouncing back and forth, various lights on the dash come on, go out and come on again. Head lights won't come on, instead I get a faint clicking noise, like a turn signal is on. If I did'nt know better i'd say my dak has a virus!
Is this battery related? I would have thought the optima could have taken more abuse.

Message: It's not necessarily the battery... I've had that problem before where the fault seemed to jump around... clean your battery cables and posts... flex the cables a bit... that might be the problem and clear it up.
