Subject: Side Mirrors IP: Logged
Message: I have a 93 dakota with the big ol elephant ear mirrors. The problem is that at highway speeds, the passenger side mirror gets pushed in by the wind. I assume that there a loose/stripped nut somewhere, but I'm not for sure. Anybody know a solution? I would like to put on some street scene mirrors that are more aerodynamic and better looking, but do they make them for the gen II dak's? Thanks!

Message: my 93 had the same problem. are the mirrors power? If not you can get the little black manual ones on the gen II they look pretty decent, and u can get them at any junk yard. you may be able to get them in power, but I haven't seen any that i can remember. Dont know if street scene makes them for gen II sorry.

Message: well my mirrors on my dak have not yet needed adjustment, however my van did. there should be a adjustment screw in the base that holds the mirror to the door. it clamps around the metal pole that the mirror mounts to.
