Just trying to continue issue of noisy front bushings on a new thread instead of clogging up the "Dakotas in the news" thread.

boB., are you saying it`s the outer bushings making noise and not the inner ones?

Yeah, that's what it was on my truck. I started there, thinking I would do the inner bushings later. But then didn't need to go any further. Fortunatly, it's quick and easy.

Thanks for the reply boB. Next chance I get I`ll clean and grease em with synthetic grease. You said it was an easy job. Do I have to jack up the front or anything or just pull em apart?

Jack up the front end and put jack stands under the frame rails. Then unbolt the retainer cap from the the lower A-arm, and jack up the A-arm about 1" or so. The bushing will slide right off the end of the bar. It will be pretty obvious when you look at it.
