Subject: Cold Miss... IP: Logged
Message: My 99 5.9L just started acting up at startup in the cold mornings. It seems like a miss...runs rough, little acceleration, etc. until it warms up. I literally thought I broke a valve spring or something...it was that rough, and then it just cleared up. Anyone else experience this and/or know what it is and how to fix it?
Thanks!

Sounds like the choke isn't working properly.

Is there such a thing as a choke on a computer controlled, fuel injected vehicle? :-

It does sound exactly like a choke issue. I thought maybe it wasn't going into Cold-Start mode or whatever it might be called.
Anyway, it just occurred to me that I got gas at a cheapo station and this was one of our coldest nights so far so maybe it's crappy gas. I'll run it out of there as much as possible and refill tonight and see what happens.
