Might seem silly, but make sure your dimmer switch is not in the off position.

Did you ever solve this?
Same thing has happened to me on my 99 Dakota, only
worse. Pulled a maplight out of the aux. dash socket
yesterday and now the dash lights, dome light and
radio don't work. Checked and changed the mini fuses,
but that didn't cure it.

If I remeber correctly in 99 there was a hidden fuse block under the dash in the back of the regular fuse block that controlled the power outet, look up under there and see if you can find it, it should be a fuse block with 2 fuses, a friend had this problem and the fuse holder was not that esy to locate and not mentioned in the owners manual
