the heater core is not the price u should be conserned about. Its the labor charge that is going to kill you. 300-500 dollars labor.

My mechanic said he'd do it for 150 bucks so that isn't a problem, but I had seen the other posts on the labor, ouch! Thanks for your responses.

Get a modine heater core, much better than the oem. Took a look between the two, the modine is much more robust. I think napa carries them. I think they are around $70.


I'm suprised that your mechanic will do it for $150. On the newer models, you have to remove the a/c radiator (forgot what it's called) before you get to the heater core. So, the mechanic needs to recharge the system once he is done.

It, took my mechanic from 7am to 3pm. lol

I think this guy just shot me the price quick. I expect to run into some setbacks along the way. I expect to see the price run up quite a bit more than what he is saying.
