Subject: v6 spark plug woes IP: Logged
Message: Hey Everyone.
I was changin the spark plugs in my y2k V6 over to Autolite 3923's this evening. i have them all done except for the plug directly under the brak booster, closest to the firewall on the driver's side...worked on it for an hour, and can't get the wire to break the seal...any thoughts? i went and bought the special tool for plug wire removal, it helped everywhere but on this one....
Has anyone else had trouble with this?? Any help is appreciated and urgent, 'cuz it's the only old plug left in the engine.!
TIA
Mike

Mike,
You'll have to twist it for a little bit if it's stuck that bad. Also, if..and when...you finally get the wire off of the plug, make sure you inspect the boot and connector to make sure the conductor didn't pull away from the metal clip (inside the boot). Don't forget to put a small coating of die-electric grease on the plug body to to prevent sticking in the future.
