Subject: AutoTrans - Anyone? IP: Logged
Message: I've read in previous posts that other people have had this problem, but have yet to find what they found as a solution. I have an 01 CC 3.9L SLT with about 47,000 miles. At medium throttle, when shifting into 3rd, it will shift, and then downshift, but only about 2-300RPM. About 2 seconds after that it shifts right back to third. Every other gear shifts smoothly. Is this an issue with the bands needing adjustment? I was just about to get the fluid changed and the bands adjusted but if it takes more to fix it I'd like to know ahead of time. Thanks for your help guys!

Message: Thanks I'm gonna check that out this weekend. For anyone else that has this prob I found the procedure for adjusting your TV bands on intense-dakota.com. Speetweaks.net has been shut down for those that didn't know.

Message: if it,s 2-300rpm in drop or raise, then it sounds like the lock-up in the torque converter.
a transgo shift kit will help with this
