 Subject: AC Compressor for 4.7L

My AC compressor just locked up on me. It is not limited to just the clutch but the compressor itself. The AC place I have it at cannot find a distributor that has a new replacement ($336.00) in stock and the dealership wants $475 for a new one. He says all his distributors are back-ordered on the compressor and that if I had any other size motor than the 4.7L then a replacement would not be a problem.
Seems like when I hit 90k miles, my problems turned from nickels and dimes to dollar bills and 100 dollar bills. Just had to replace the exhaust, the multifuction switch in the steering column, rear brake sensor and what looks like having my windsheild resealed to kill the leak that fills my passenger floorboard with water when it rains.
Pulled the rear diff cover to reseal it and found half of a retainer clip that was broke off laying in the bottom of the pumpkin, I hate to even think about what that will cost to fix.
Still love my Dakota, now I just need to win the lotto to pay for the repairs.
