Message: I just got my new 98 CC 2WD V6 Dak and i was thinking about getting a 3 inch body lift so i could run 32s but the damn off road shop here said after tax, it would be $745 installed and the BFGs i wanted would be 134 a piece plus alignment and installation and everything. so i was wondering if i could fit a 31x10.5x15 BFG A/T on my stock rim on my truck????
Thanks.

Message: In theory, no.
Stock ride height = 30" max.
I suspect you could do it, if you'll tolerate a little rubbing.

Message: I think you might could fit the 31's on 15x7's. But on 15x8's they may rub a little. Im really not sure. Like Grant said, may come down to if you mind a little friendly rubbing every now and then. A good tire shop should be willing to test fit one on the front of your truck for you to see if it will rub or not.

Message: Stephen, I think you can. I have a 99 SLT CC 2WD 3.9 and I have 31x10.5x15 on 15x8's with no rubbing at all. I love the look of the tires because they make the truck look more "rugged" for a 2WD. The best way to check if you can get tires is to test fit them at a tire shop. Im sure they will be glad to see if they will work out on your truck, but I think they will fit perfectally. Good luck to ya.

Message: Steve, Thanks for the confirmation. Like I said, I wasnt sure if they would rub with the 8's or not. I bet they do look good. I know that having 32's on my 4x4 really changed its looks for the better. 15x8's wouldnt work with my 32's though on mine. Its as close as it can go without rubbing on the 15x7's. Stephen, Again, just get your tire shop to test fit one on the front. Just make sure they set the truck back on the ground and turn the steering wheel all the way in both directions just to be sure. I wouldnt worry though, If they fit on Steve's they should fit on yours.
