I've finaly got it fixed after two days of being in the shop. Problem was, they couldn't get it to fire after they installed the unit.

As it turns out the part that was delivered has a bent float and of course; back up she goes and down with the tank. Also I had a new Fuelpump installed with the sending unit. I gained a bit more power because the other didn't send the right amount of fuel though the line.

I think my float might be stuck on 1/4.

It hasn't moved much since I drove it over 45 miles.

Now it's back to normal. What I had to go is reset the float by adding about $5.00 worth in the tank. So now I'm able to travel 85 miles with out a fuel up.:)

i've had the same problems with my fuel gauge in my 93 dakota. except the fact that mine just sits on empty the whole time. anyone got any suggestions? i've thought about going to a salvage yard and stripping one off an old dakota and putting it in, but is it just the meter that i need to fix or does the problem go deeper than this? please reply soon! thank you!
