Subject: IAT Sensor IP: Logged
Message: I found this pic, could someone look at the grayish thing in the center to see if it is an IAT sensor. The pic is really F**ked up, but hopefully someone can tell me if it is right thing.

Message: That's it.
I have the '03 4.7 which allready has a twist in IAT in the intake tube.
My bro in law has a 2000 or so RAM with the 318.
His is like the above pic.
Instead of removing his stock IAT and having to plug it (which is easy enough) we had a temp sensor for a Trane Heat Pump and I checked my charts for both thermistors and found them to be the same temp vs. resistance. Plus the sensor we had has like 4 foot leads on it. So he had his home brewed instake tube and all he had to do was drill a small hole and insert this sensor and splice into his IAT wiring harness.
Not something most would want to do but I thought it was funny as hell when we did it.
