Message: Just wanted to let you guys know that bosch makes a universal o2 sensor for the 5.9. You will need to reuse your existing wiring harness.
Big difference in cost:
Universal before Cat: $64.99
Universal after Cat: $48.99
Heck, the oem ones are like over $100 each.
Part numbers for a 2000 Durango with a 5.9
15729 Before Cat
15730 After Cat
Best thing to do is goto bosch's website and look up the universal one for your Dodge.

Message: How do they connect the O2 sensor to your existing wiring?
It is always recommended to replace the sensor with the wiring, and not to make any repairs to the wiring existing wiring. Any repairs can allow oxygen to travel through the wires into the oxygen sensor off setting the oxygen sensor, and causing number of problems, getting you back to where you began. Replacing the sensor.
Replace the entire assembly, as a assembly and prevent future repairs.

Message: Stubbs,
You must be kidding right? All the o2 sensor is like a big variable resistor. The material in the probe senses how much oxygen is in your exhaust, thus changing the resistance sending thru the wires to your computer.
The computer only reads the resistance. To, get a better answer, call bosch.
All you are paying extra are the oem connectors. I used an universal one for my 90 VW Corrado. It worked great.
If, you have some skill in soldering and using shrink wrap to seal the wires, go for the universal.
