 Subject: Heater Control Vacuum Source

I'm working on an '87 Dakota with a V6 to pay for my racing habit. The heater vent controls are not operating. I have verified that there is no vacuum to the control unit in the dash. I cannot locate the source of vacuum from the engine that runs into the interior to the controls. Any suggestions?
