Subject: in cab noise! IP: Logged
Message: I own a 92 reg/cab v8 4x4 and My in-cab engine noise and road noise is quite loud and annoying. Also the wiper motors are extremely loud as well, is that normal. What is the best way to sounproof the cab?
Thanks

Message: Tread patterns on 4x4 tires have a big effect on road noise. The Gen II's had less sound insulation than '97-up. Buy 4-6 cans of rubberized spray undercoating, and cover the inside wheelwells. Also do the cab underside, reaching as far up the firewall as you can from underneath. Wear an old shirt and goggles.

Message: Thanks I'll give that a try. I was also thinking of putting some sort of insulation under the carpet?

Message: You might check your Dodge dealer for a GenII hood pad, possibly from an LE model.
