Message: What color is your Dak? Ive heard from several car detailers that usting an orbital waxer on dark colors will leave swirls if your not careful.

Message: I used a friends Wen polisher and found it worked okay but it is more of a home unit. I spent a little more and bought the Porter-Cable 7424. This machine is very powerful, well made, and also light weight. If you want the best results and especially if you will put it to commercial use, buy the Porter Cable. I believe it cost me $119. :)

Message: Dirty D , it was only $49. Its not a 2-speed, I didn't want to get anything to powerful for fear of burning the paint,I have heard this could happen if your not carfull.
Steve Reilkl,my truck is black, thanks for the warning, I'll have to let you know how I do.

Message: I find just doing it by hand works just as well. Also i think you have more choices of what to use to take off the wax and or polish. I've yet to find a really soft bonnet for waxers but i can always find an extremely soft towel (even if i have to spend the few extra bucks for one). Meguiars just came out with a product called the Ultimate Wipe and im gonna give it whirl when i wax the Dak in a few days.

Message: Ended up doing it by hand, the orbiter was just to big around at 10in. I didn't feel comfortable around the front fenders, afraid of burning the paint.
I'm gonna take it back Sunday.I never even pluged it in, just heald it up to the truck.

Message: I have a black car and I'm considering if i should use my new WEN 10" orbital polisher on it. WEN says it won't burn, I'm sure it will if you hold it in the same place too long. I think the ones that burn have higher rev's/min. Anyone have experience using the WEN 10" on black paint? Will I end up seeing swirl marks?
