Subject: All for a front end alignment IP: Logged
Message: As I went back home after I droped the old gail at the shop. I was expecting just a regular front end alignment. Although I noticed that the truck is way out of wack on the road. You have to angal the well to the left a bit just to keep it staight. So as I went back to the shop. I was told that the Tire rod needs to be replaced along with the pitman arm. in total that would be 260.00 out of my wallet.
And I just had a rotor along with my brake pads replaced and the dealer for $240.00.
I just wonder else should I be looking for down the road?
I think its almost time for a trade in.

Message: Don't trade it in now, you'll just have to start all over!! Instead just think of it as being $500 closer to a completely rebuilt vehicle.

Message: that's rough, but, i just took my truck for a shift kit and convertor install, then i get the phone call, better come look at your tranny pan. burnt oil, shards of metal clumps, not too good, then he says and you should see this too...Main seal and frost plugs leaking on my brand new motor. So, a 250$ install, plus parts job, turned to a $2000, plus job, oh ya and i replaced the motor mounts two, because one was cracked in half. All in the name of some sort of a hobby, i guess.
So in total in the last 5000 km, i have installed a $5000 motor, A $1500 rear end( but it was a posi w/9.92's), which blew again and neaded a $600 bearing kit to rebuild, and now a $2000+++ tranny. The only stock part on my drive line is the shaft. But it goes like a rocket now!!

Look for a better built vehicle and some spelling lessons.

Message: if you went to advance auto and purchased two rotors $35 each= $70 and new pads $15 for both sides= $85 alot cheaper than taking it to the dealer to do something as easy as brake work.

Message: I've replaced idler arm, pittman arm, both sets of ball joints. At least 9 alignments in 4 years, shocks, tires, rotors - all between 76K and 141K miles.
Guess what? Front end is solid as a rock now.
