can anyone tell me the exact way to make flames shoot out of and exhaust pipe. i know you can wire spark plugs to the exhaust and you can get the timing off but is there any simpler way? i would have to take off the cat right?

50 years ago we used to use kerosene or fuel oil sprayed into the exhaust pipe under pressure and steamed across a spark plug set to it's own magneto.
