is there any way to check if a water pump is working properly? i have a 91' 318 dak and my water temp doesn't get up very high. if it goes to normal once i'm off the gas, it cools down very quickly. im just don't want it to be a major problem that i can't notice.

If it's cooling well, then the pump is fine. If it's too cool, probably a stuck thermostat.
