Message: Whats the difference between a tire with the numbering 255 75 R15 and one numbered 32x10.5 15
Is the 32 in Inches and the 255 mm?

Message: A 32x10.50 is 32 inches tall and is 10 1/2 inches wide. A 255x75 is 255mm wide and the side wall is 75% of that. You can convert that to inches by dividing the 255 by 24.5. That comes out to 10.4 inches wide. Then take 10.4 and multiply by .75 to get 7.8 inches. That is how tall the side wall is. To get the overall tire height you would add 7.8 + 7.8 + 15 (for the rim) = 30.6. So that tire is a 30.5 x 10.5 in inches (when rounded).

Message: actually the multiplier is 25.4 not 24.5 other then that you got it perfect.

Message: Strange, I could have sworn the conversion chart I had used 24.5. Oh well. It could be wrong.

Message: The conversion is 2.54 centimeters per 1 inch so its 25.4 MM per 1 inch :)
