Message: Sorry Knucklehead no part#. I looked at receipt and PCM. Receipt just said "flash for harsh up-shift". They made it sound like it was a TSB if that helps you.

Message: the flash for the harsh 2-3 upshift is a TSB. ur trans needs to be looked at by a dealership. someone said that trannys never need to be torn down at 30k. bs. i pull these trannys all the time with alot less miles than that on them. im a certified DC tech. see all kinds of stuff u wouldnt believe. there could be a few causes to ur problem. but u cant just go throwing parts at it. everything needs to be tested correctly to find the cause. and if it the problem is intermittent soemtimes a copilot needs to be put on ur car for a while. it records data while u r driving so the tech can see what happened when. and under what kind of conditions.

Message: Thanks Chief. Is it possible you could get me the tsb number?
I took it to the dealer last month but I was told by the service manager there was no tsb for it yet. He did tell me that he's had other people complain of the same thing though.

Message: I made the original post, when the tranny was put in 'R' it would backup a few feet and the act like it was in 'N'. I finally bit the bullet and took it in to a tranny shop. The pressure stayed up OK, but there was slippage in'R', so they tore it out and stripped it down. The 'R' clutch packs are shot, because a brittle seal had split and lack of fluid ate the clutch pack. They tell me the new seal kit is much more pliable. Not a cheap fix, but less than an overhaul.

Message: Chief,!I have a 2000 dakota r/t 55000 miles on it , when im rolling along in rush hr traffic it cant decide wether it wants to be in 1 or 2nd it bounces back and forth its really annoying it is suposed to stay in second but it wont it glitches into first for just a sec then back to second ,,, i have a transgo shift kit in it i think the trany is a 46re something like that, i also had a problem with it not going into lockup in over drive we fixed that, it was a clip that broke that holds in a spring and a small piston valve the size of a pencil width and an inch in length , fortunatly my friend is a pack rat and had four trannys in his shed and we found the parts we need in one any way just some problems and a fix if anyone has or need answers thanks
