Subject: tires IP: Logged
Message: I need to get some new tires for my dodge dakota. I was looking at tirerack.com I'm on a budget, but I'd like to get some decent tires. Hopefully no more than 100 per tire. My main concern is for snow and rain driving. Any suggestions on which type of tire to buy?

Message: Since you did not post year and model I am guessing.
I just put Kumhos (H rated) on my 01 QC 4.7 and they have a very high wet/dry traction, handling and most of all.....they are reasonably priced.

Message: go back to tirerack.com and do some real reasearch, they have a tire comparison system that allows you to do tire to tire comparisons, and they rate them for ride comfort, handleing, wet traction, snow traction, hydroplanning resistance, etc. just click on each tire you are interseted in, (there is a small box for this) then click the compare box at the end of the listing you have selected. The eliminate the tires that do not meet your criteria, what you have left are the ones you need to further eliminate by criteria, untill you find the one that best fits your needs. You may have to look around abit but I asure you that this feature is there, you just need to be "not lazy" and find it.

Message: I put Wal-marts Continental Truck tires on my 4x4 CC and they ride great, no sqealing sounds in turns like the orig Goodyears and much better ride and traction. They were around 90 each and 9.99 per tire mounted and lifetime free rotation and rebalancing at any wal-mart, you cant beat that.
