Message: You have to find a place to mount them on the frame, which will be hard to do without removing the air dam or cutting something. Don't attach them to the bumper unless you just want to look cool, the bumper won't hold any load.

Message: i have to replace the bumber anyway has a big dent in it from the owner berofe me. is there anyway to but them in with a bumber/at the same time when i but a new bumber on?? i looked for some holes but didn't find any that would. i guess my other option like you said to make up a bracket.

Message: I was looking at the front x-member there is a slot with two holes at each end in the middle.I wonder if you found or made up some kind of u -shaped round bar with threaded ends and bolted it into those holes,I think it would be low enough that the tow rope would clear the bumper?Just a thought I think I will try it when warm weather comes (if ever)

Message: Do you have any welding skills (or know anyone)? I used to have a 1973 Bronco which we put on a channel steel bumper and mounted the tow hooks right on top.
The channel steel is very durable. It was cut on both ends and a small angled piece with a nice end cap. We primered and painted it gloss black. It stuck out a little farther and we could have put a winch between the frame rails if we wanted. Also had two off road lights mounted. It was a most durable and cool setup for little money.
