Message: I think Subs are more important... Soundin' good on the inside provides more enjoyment over soundin' good on the outside.
(How many people you know drive around with the radio off listening to only the sound of the engine and exhaust? Hmmmmmmm? How many? LOL)

I guess I'd rather hear what my engine is doing instead of having my ear drums caved in.

My opinion might be different if you had two more cylinders, but I'd go with the sub. Duals seem like overkill with a six.
If you happen to have the Club Cab, take a CLOSE look at the Thunderform - it's the best investment I've made so far.

Message: Well Jeffster...
I guess that would lead to some long dull rides in your Dak huh? (Maybe you just like the sound of "road roar" also...)
By the way, I don't think putting a set of subs (like the Thunderforms) is enough to "cave your ear drums in". You would have to be pushing some serious amp power and have a huge speaker cabinet built (which in the tight space of a Dak ain't gonna happen unless you decide to get rid of alot of your cab space.)
Adding a MTX thunderform is a very sweet addition to even the stock radio... You would be surprised on how much better music sounds with a little more bottom end to it (even at lower "non ear shattering" volumes).
Maybe where you are from, people are more impressed by a loud angry engine, but where I am from "style points" with looks and stereo go way farther than having a loud engine for the sake of it being loud.
