Question, all help greatly appreciated, I have a 1997 dakota standard cab with the 100% bench with molded headrests. Well, seeing as I have 230k on the truck (yes it is a 97, not 87:)), I have worn out the center where my elbow rests. UNfortunately no one has a replacement cover for this---not even the dealer! Anyone know any different??I like the seat.

friend will sell me his split bench out of either 98 or 99 extra cab. Will the tracks bolt up? it is a power driver seat, can I just run a fused aux power line from the batt. 12+ to the seat and take advantage of the power, that would be cool....??? will my seat belts work. I am in so cal and he is up north so I hate to have him drive all the way down to find out it won't work.

as you might guess the dealer is not much help:(

thanks

Can't say if your friends seat would fit right in or not. But if it did, you should be able to run electicity to it just like you are suggesting and it would work.

The other solution is just to take your current seat to any good upholstery shop and have them replace the worn fabric on your armrest. You will find that they have big selections of stuff to match up. This is how they make a living. I've had real good luck with a place locally that does a lot of work on boats but check around for best prices. They vary a lot on this sort of job.
