Message: I emailed the lawyers representing the class action lawsuit for bad ball joints on the Dodge Durango. I asked them what the deal was with Dodge Dakotas. This is the reply I got:
This email is in response to your inquiry about the Dodge Durango Litigation.
Thank you for contacting us. The law firms of Miller Faucher and Cafferty, LLP, Ademi & O'Reilly, and Cauley Geller have filed a class action against Daimler-Chrysler for defective ball joints and control arms in Dodge Durango vehicles from the model years 1998 to 2003. We have had numerous reports of premature wear of ball joints and control arms -- often resulting in numerous replacements over the life of the vehicle at substantial cost to owners of the Dodge Durango. The current action is pending in the Eastern District of Wisconsin, although we are seeking remand to Wisconsin state court.
We are interviewing a number of people who have contacted us to determine whether class action complaints will be filed in other states, as well as to determine whether the cases will be expanded to include the Dodge Dakota. Some of the individuals interviewed may become class representatives in states where actions are filed. We will keep all your names on file.
The Wisconsin case alleges that the Dodge Durangos have a defect, entitling consumers to relief under warranty and consumer protection statutes. If you were in an accident or otherwise believe that you have suffered a personal injury as a result of the ball joints and/or control arms in the Dodge Dakota or the Dodge Durango, you should contact your personal injury attorney or the lawyer referral service of your local bar association immediately. We will not be pursuing any accident or personal injury claims in any state.
If significant events warrant, we will update you via email. If you wish to continue to receive these occasional email updates, please add us to your email safe list. If you no longer wish to receive these occasional updates and other correspondence from this law firm, please send an email to Unsubscribe@millerfaucher.com

Message: Wonderful. So when they win the firm gets 150 million, and other 50 million is divided equally amongst the participants to the tune of 18.95 apiece.
