Subject: New exhaust IP: Logged
Message: I just bought a 2004 dakota with the 4.7 in it and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendation for a new exhaust system. I dont want anything to loud, maybe just a little deeper sounding. Thanks

Message: If you want horsepower and don't mind spending the extra cash go to gsmotorsports.com. 14rwhp from their true duals. No other exhaust manufacturer seems to ever want to supply dyno results from their cat-backs.

Message: I just had a flowmaster 70 (the most quiet one) with dual cat back 2.25 pipes out the back on my '03 qc 4.7, auto, 3.9 gears. It is a little louder than I would have liked. I just turned 50 so my opinion is irrelevant (rightly so!) to anyone under 40. I also added a K&N fipk intake and it is really loud at anything over half throttle! I like the performance and throttle response from this combo but it is pretty obnoxious under heavy acceleration and towing. I also drive with a sunroof open most of the time and that probably doesn't help. I'm considering dynamat for under the hood to quiet the intake.

Message: DYNOMAX HAS A NICE SOUNDING MUFFLER THE SS SUPER FLOW NOT THE SUPER TURBO THAT IS CRAP BUT IF YOU GO TO THERE PAGE THEY HAVE A SOUND OF IT ON A 5.2 DURANGO AND I THINK IT SOUNDS GOOD.
BUT IF YOU DONT WANNA PAY FOR THE SS SUPER FLOW THEY ALSO HAVE THE SUPER FLOW IN A WELDED SERIES ABOUT 100 $ CHEAPER
