Message: Hi - I sold my 92 Dak and bought a 99 recently. Brakes were put on just before I bought and the left front squeals like a stuck pig. I tried treating the back of the pad with some disc brake quiet and I also burnished and Syl-Glyde'd the pins. The stuff I put on the back of the pad worked for about a day.
Is there supposed to be a shim between the piston and pad or something? The sound drives me nuts! If there isn't an OEM shim, what could I make one out of?
Thanks in advance for some help!! :-)

Message: You are squeeking due to vibration. If you tap the little tongs down that hold the pad on to the brake assembly your squeeling should stop.
You get to use a hammer! Yea!
