Message: I added fuzzy dice to my rear view mirror and noticed a gas mpg increase of 1.2 mpg. Have any of you tried this or had this result?

Message: I keep the a/c duct vents dusted which increases air flow efficency which in turn makes the fan motor turn easier which in turn requires less power to run the fan motor which in turn requires lower output of the alternator which in turn requires less engine hp to drive the alternator which in turn requires less gasoline to run the engine which in turn raises gas mileage by .001 mpg.

Message: My wacko theory: We all know what happens when you throw trash in the back of your truck then get up to highway speeds with the rear slider open, right? You're likely to be hit in the back of the head by your own debris as the air flowing over the top of the cab reverses direction at the tail gate and pushes against the back of the cab. Could this possibly be where the lower drag at highway speeds comes from? Is that air foil causing a little bit more of a push at the high speeds that leads to an extra mpg or two? Then when you remove the tailgate maybe the loss in that wierd drafting effect offsets the air flowing right off the back of the truck.
