SXT is just a base trim with an up grade.
Also, it's the replacement for the most R/T products such as the Dakota. Very smart people up there at D with little C uh?

SXT is not a replacement for R/T, it has nothing to do with R/T. Just a fancy name for a near base package. You can have your fancy letters with a v6 Dak, my v8 doesn't need them.

The SXT has replaced most of the R/T line up (Intrepid). It's the Stampede thats replaceing the R/T. Also it's nothing like the R/T.

I own a 2003 Stampede, and it is NOTHING like an R/T. It's basically a dressed up Dakota Sport. The Stampede package includes Dakota Stampede badge (on tailgate), rear body color bumper with step pads, front body color fascia, front, side and rear ground effects and 16" x 8" aluminum wheels with P255/65R16 OWL all-season tires. All this for the ridiculous price of $1695. The basic engine was the 3.9 in 2003 model, now the 3.7 in the 2004 model. Certainly NOT an R/T. But I must admit, my Atlantic Blue Pearlcoat Stampede is a good looker: I get a lot of compliments on mine from folks of all ages.
