 Subject: Tailgate lock for '95

Anyone have any info on a outside lock for the tailgate. I bought one thinking it was perfect and come to find out that it had the keyhole on the inside of the gate which didn't do me any good because I have a cover.(I don't know why you would want the lock on the inside in any case) After doing a little research it looks like all the mass market locks on the outside handle are for '97 and up. Does anyone have any info?

Just found a lock on ebay. Seller says that it is for (87 and up) but he doesn't know how new it will still fit on. Anyone have any advice?

It crossed my mind several times... Why are tailgates so easy to steal? Anyone who has a '93ish dakota knows what I'm talking about.
